Sharon E. Best hails from Missouri – the
“Show Me” state. She has lived all
over the United States and is sure that Seattle is her “forever” home (except
for frequent sun breaks in Arizona).
Sharon graduated with Honors from the University of Missouri in 1969
with a double major in Spanish and French.
She later attended Law School at the University of Florida – Gainesville
from 1974-1977. She excelled in law
school, graduating with Honors despite spending an inordinate amount of time
her last year while serving as Editor in Chief of the University of Florida
Law Review. Serving as a Judge Advocate General Officer
(JAGC) in the United States Army between 1978 and 1988, Sharon happily
retired from the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1988. She
began her law practice in Washington State in 1989, immediately upon being
admitted to practice in this state.
Since that time Sharon has focused on real estate together with wills
and trusts. These two areas are highly
complimentary since a substantial amount of knowledge in both areas is
required to be an effective legal advisor in either of them. With
extensive experience in all areas of acquisition of residential real estate,
including preparing or advising in the preparation and negotiation of the
purchase or sale of real property, easement and title analyses, resolution of
adverse possession issues, reviews of public offering statements or resale
certificates relating to condominiums, and handling of matters in escrow, she
is the local legal expert in real estate. Best
& de Vrieze, PLLC evolved from Sharon E. Best & Associates, PLLC,
which was born and raised in West Seattle, Washington. Our oldest and dearest clients live in West
Seattle; however, we are happy to expand outward and give advice to those
